Relapse Prevention for Young Men

Since 2012, PACE Recovery Center has specialized in treating men who have recently relapsed from alcohol dependency or addiction to opiates, club or designer drugs, marijuana, heroin or prescription medications. Depending on an individual’s addiction history, relapse history, overall health and family/employment responsibilities, our credentialed team may recommend placement in a residential or intensive outpatient program.

Transitional Residential Treatment for Relapse

Research indicates that the longer a person can stay connected with a sober support system, the better their chances of long-term sobriety. If you have experienced a recent relapse, it is critical that you return to your sober support system to reestablish healthy sobriety patterns. PACE’s transitional rehab program allows clients to maintain their employment, family and school commitments while living in a monitored, structured environment.

Intensive Outpatient Treatment for Relapse

Many times, our clients are unable to leave work and home responsibilities to live on-site at PACE. In those cases, we offer relapse treatment through our intensive outpatient program (IOP). This gender-specific program provides a safe, supportive environment where clients can come to terms with the grief or shame involved in their relapse and prepare for next steps in their sobriety. Our IOP approach is directive and client-centered, and our flexible curriculum allows men to manage life’s obligations while returning to their recovery journey.

When a relapse is pushed under the rug and not dealt with in a constructive manner, an individual may be overtaken by frustration, fear, depression or anxiety. At PACE Recovery Center, it is our goal to minimize the impact of your relapse and return you to sobriety success without delay. During outpatient or transitional rehab, you will also redefine your relapse triggers and develop a new aftercare plan to stave off future sobriety missteps.
